2017 San Diego Homestay Programs
January & July

2, 3, or 4 weeks English in San Diego + Homestay
+ Optional Southwest Trip

7 student class average; 8 student class maximum

Immerse yourself in U.S. culture by living with an American host family! The SD Homestay option allows students to attend courses at CISL San Diego while living in the warm, welcoming home environment provided by one of CISL’s carefully selected host families. This program is offered in both the summer and winter and is an excellent opportunity for students to continue improving their English skills outside of the classroom setting.

By day, homestay students participate in CISL’s Standard English Program and interact with students from around the world. The Downtown San Diego campus, which is well connected by SD Transit, centrally locates students for afternoon activities. Students can take full advantage of CISL’s activities such as laser tag, trips to the San Diego Zoo, beach days, surfing, indoor rock climbing, and biking… and then come home to a meal provided by the host family. Breakfast is also provided for students every day.

SD Homestay students are also offered the optional one-week Southwest Trip, which provides the chance to see some of the most popular destinations in Southern California, Nevada, and Arizona. While exploring Los Angeles, students tour unique Venice Beach, celebrity-filled Rodeo Drive, picturesque Santa Monica, iconic Hollywood, Disneyland, and exciting Universal Studios. Students then make their way to Las Vegas for a fun-filled two days before visiting nature’s most striking creation, The Grand Canyon.
