If you would like a fresh new way of learning English while studying at CISL San Diego, try taking a cooking class!

Hip Cooks, a cooking school located in North Park, is an excellent CISL student activity option. Students can learn to cook a new dish or new cuisine style, and in the process they can also practice their English skills. Plus, at the end, they get a meal!

The beautiful kitchen is a great place to learn a new cooking technique.

Hip Cooks specializes in many different cuisines. Students can learn to make Spanish tapas or paella, Dim Sum, or Indian, Thai,  Italian, Cajun, Jamaican, Mexican, Jewish, Brazilian, Moroccan, or Vietnamese cuisine. Students can also choose themed classes like “Romantic Dinner for Two,” “Winter Soups,” “Large Dinner Party,” “Sunday Brunch,” or “Pies.” Yum!

Delicious!

Classes are affordable and a day at the cooking school is a great idea for a non-CISL organized event that you can do with your classmates! For more information on upcoming classes and prices, visit their website http://sandiego.hipcooks.com/ . And before you take a class, make sure to check out our post on using the Passive with Cooking.

Happy cooking!
