1. “id” like in “painted” and “excited” and “wanted.”
This pronunciation is for words that end in the “d” or “t” sounds. Here are some more examples:
haunted, created, deserted, requested, admitted, started, parted
2. “t” like in “stopped” and “wrapped” and “watched”
This pronunciation is for words that end in f, k, p, s, ch, and sh. Here are some more examples:
laughed, talked, walked, kissed, missed, dumped, hatched, finished, wished
3. “d” like in “called” and “showed”
This pronunciation is for words that end in all other sounds other than the ones mentioned above. Here are some more examples:
dubbed, calmed, organized, ordered, lied, mined, swallowed, filmed, moved
