San Francisco is full of culinary, music, art, theater, and social events, but here is one more suggested student activity that our music-loving English Language students will enjoy: San Francisco’s Harmony by the Bay Music Festival.

The event will take place at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA on Saturday, September 29th, 2012. The lineup is a diverse mix of many of today’s most popular genres, including the following:

– Indie rockers THE SHINS

– Punky, pop music duo TEGAN AND SARA

– Grammy-winning musician, actor, singer, songwriter, producer and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee JIMMY CLIFF

– Platinum recording artist ALISON KRAUSS & UNION STATION featuring JERRY DOUGLAS

– One of the most exciting electronic music bands BEATS ANTIQUE

– New Zealand singer KIMBRA

– Reggae artist MATISYAHU

– Reggae artists the DIRTY HEADS

– Singer-songwriter ERIC HUTCHINSON

– Indie-pop group GIVERS

– DJ ZACK DARLING and DJ DRAGONFLY.

 

In addition to music, the festival will also include a unique yoga zone called YOGA FOR HARMONY in which popular local teachers will lead outdoor classes. If you are interested in getting some exercise, don’t forget to bring your mat!
