If you are not planning an awesome out-of-town adventure for Labor Day Weekend, consider attending San Diego’s first annual SoCAL Music Festival in Downtown San Diego’s East Village on September 1st, 2012. This all-day festival will include 4 music stages featuring DJ’s and live bands as well as art exhibits (created by local artists!) displayed throughout the streets.
The festival will go from 2 p.m. until midnight and will be expanded across five blocks between 9th Ave and Park Blvd. The following bands will play:

In addition to the music and art, the event will also showcase skateboarding competitions, a true Southern California tradition! There will also be numerous food trucks (another Southern California tradition!) and event participants will vote on their favorite meal.
