San Diego has recently earned the title “Little Belgium” because of its many microbreweries (small production beer companies). Would you like to find out why there is such a buzz about the area’s brews? Check out the San Diego Brew Fest on Saturday, July 21!

This is the event’s second year in existence, and the event organizers hope it will be as successful as last year’s event. Guests can sample dozens of local and international craft beers and also try another of San Diego’s more interesting trends: food trucks! Have you ever tried food made from a moving vehicle? Now might be the time to start! San Diego’s food trucks offer inventive foods made with local ingredients and have been the latest “it” thing on the food scene.

Admission is $40 for general admission (from 3pm to 6pm) and $50 for VIP (2pm to 6pm and a larger selection of beers). For more information, visit:sandiegobeerfest.com/

The best part about the event is that the proceeds go to charity: The San Diego Brew Fest sponsors Noah’s B-ark Pet Rescue, a charity dedicated to rescuing dogs from shelters and finding them permanent homes. Proceeds from the event will go towards funding food, shelter and veterinary bills for the animals.
