What makes the Hillcrest market so special?

Of course, we expect every farmer’s market to be packed with local fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats, seafood, honeys, flowers, herbs, etc. Hillcrest certainly has all of that: over 125 vendors come together each Sunday to sell the best of their goods! But in addition to the typical market goods, the Hillcrest Farmer’s Market also has local artists and craftmakers and a wide selection of gourmet prepared foods . . . in case you get hungry while strolling around all of the delicious stalls! The Hillcrest market also has live music each Sunday, which contributes to the upbeat, lively market atmosphere.

Another exciting aspect of the Hillcrest Market is its “Visiting Chef Series.” If you are unsure how to prepare any of the fruits, vegetables, or meats that you see at the market, don’t worry: from 1-2 pm, a local chef will be there to give a presentation on a unique dish. It is just the inspiration you need while shopping (and it might be a unique way to improve your English listening skills!).
